| I have been awake for the past 36 hours and 26 miniets. Yes, I pulled an all-nighter. Why, you ask, well for the only reasonable reason to pull and all-nighter: to write a paper. Yesterday I took the day off of work so I could do my paper, I worked from 8am to 4pm, not even stopping for lunch! The hours of 4 to 11ish were spent with Mr. and Mrs. Marston. We went to a musicalish thing based on the book Experpiancring God. It was a neat worship experiance and it was cool to see how the Salvation Army church opperates. I guess I didn't realize that they really call themselves soilders, cadets, and majors. It was interesting. When I got home I began work on my paper again. I just needed to reorganize and do citations and add pictures and stuff. Lucklily for me, I am slow and sort of a perfectionist so by the time 6 am rolls around I am done with the paper, but my attempts to save it are proving to be futile! I had been saving it on a USB drive so that I could work on it on different computers (because mine is done and always shuts off) but the USB drive ran out of room! I erased everything else on it and there still was not enough room. I also could not get it to save onto a CD or even onto the desktop. After much prolonged panic I decided to split the file into three peices and save them each individually. This worked and I saved it to two CDs. Aproximatly 2 seconds (LITERALLY!! NO EXAGERATION) after the second CD was finished writing the file my ride to work arrived. I quickly scurried out and have just recently returned. Maine, this afternoon, has been experiancing torrential rainfall and I was soaked as I ran the 25 feet from the car to the door. I love Maine and its no public smoking rules! | | |
| Today, is the day. The first day, EVER, that I have packed shot glasses. Yes, shot glasses.
So I am working for a little packing company, packing wierd, cheezy type suviouner things. Today was my first day, and I packed shot glasses for about eight hours. I am glad I am not an alcoholic and that I do not drink alcohol. I had to laugh though, shot glasses are certianly sculpted with the drunk in mind, very durable and heavy, they don't really break, plus they make a sweet sound when you put them on the table. I have decided that if I were a shot glass that I would want something like "This is an awfully small glass for water" or "Do you really want to do this?" written on me. Luckily, I am not a shot glass.
So long for now, friends. I hope your days are happy and shot-less!
| Hello Reader,
I would just like to comment on how amazing it is when people step it up for each other. Yesterday, I went with my family to a benifit run for a kid who ran track and xc and skied at one of our rival high schools. He just graduated and was diagnosed with luekemia at the end of track season. This was the second run they had for him, the first one was in Portland (the biggest city in Maine) and it had 215ish people that registered. At the one we went to in his home town there were 396! (at 10 dollars a head, that is a pretty good profit!) It was AMAZING to see the support they gave him! There were teams from a bunch of other high schools. I can't get over how cool it is to see people love! Only for xc, track, and skiing would this occur! I love the atmosphere in these sports, individual improvement, not demolishing the other team hoping they lose, but hoping people are at their best so you will be challenged to do your best as well. It always amazes me that even when the world is going crazy that people will rally around others with needs. I have seen this so strongly in my own life. Praise God for community!
Till we meet again, dear Reader, so long!

| So, as I look through the past-postings on this here site, I have something to comment on... in the one where I complain about my printer saying there is no ink and not allowing me to print anything b/c one cartredge is out...well, I got something in the mail from some law company and apparently they took the company to court!! (I could understand parts of the legal mumbo-jumbo because of the constitutional law class I took this past semester, thank you Mr. Loy!! ) I could fill out some paper work and get something free, but I probably won't because I am sweet like that. [I just posted about junk mail, note to self: don't do that again]
In other news... it is summer and I am in Maine for a time. My boyfriend, Andy, is flying to Japan right now (as I type!) for a seven and a half week mission trip! That is a long time, but I am lucky because my time will be split up into more managable increments. I am here in the lovely Maine for another week and a half, then I am in the Rocky Mountians for three weeks, then the weekend after I come back I fly out to Illinios to go to a wedding for one of my Maddawg friends!! Then it is just another week and a half until he comes back! That is supposed to add up to seven and a half weeks... trust me, just tip your head 30 degrees to the left and it does...
My sister is graduating high school tommorow! Wow.
Maine rules! Other states drool!
Peace out, my homies!
*"my homies" is being used as an appositive, thank you my dear Latin teacher, Mr. Lent, for teaching me everything I know about the English language.
